In
the Seventies, due to the bitter political tensions which are shaking the country and to
raging gang
fights, Milan nightlife hits its low.
Yet it holds
on, sheltering in a few gorgeous clubs then famous all over Europe, like Alle
Maschere in Via Borgogna, the historic William's
in Foro Buonaparte, the Maxim in Via Manzoni.

This is also the age of some legendary, now bygone spots, like the
amazing Piccolo Bar in Via Baracchini: a magic meeting point
between the wildest night wanderers and the super-glam beauties who
just use to pass by for a drink, double parking their Porsches
Carrera and
Mercedes Pagodas on their way to inflame the nights at
the nearby
Paip's and Safari discos...

The first, incredible transsexuals who had had surgery in
Casablanca start appearing
in Piazza San Babila, while the very first sex shops and clubs
privés
are tentatively opened almost underground in inner yards or basements,
harshly targeted by scandalized press campaigns.

In a few years, out on the streets, female prostitution is almost swept
away by the
invasion of latin viados and transvestites, who come
to occupy
whole city's avenues, so boosting the new temptations of a deeply
evolving eroticism...
